My day has been overflowing with connection. And I didn’t even have to leave my home.
My friend Jenna and I did a coffee/Diet Coke chat this morning that lasted three hours.
I went for another short run before playing another sessions of Baldur’s Gate with my brother.
Then my parents showed up with snacks and artichoke dip … my dad wanted to watch the Packers game since they are in the playoffs and my condo’s internet package comes with cable. A game of cribbage and a first half later, we all got sucked into the game for the second half as the Packers, the youngest team in the NFL right now and the last seed in the playoffs, had an incredible high scoring game as the underdogs. I don’t care much about football but I can get into anything once I’m it … and games like that remind me why so many people like it.
Tonight I’m doing a virtual movie watch party with friends (“In the Heart of the Sea”).
A day of connection and fun and I am full. I needed a weekend like this after a stressful workweek and I’m so glad the universe delivered.
With Love,
Natalie
