The 100+ Women Who Care Door County had a social/giving event tonight (Warm Hearts, Warm Hands) collecting donations of hats and mittens for the Boys and Girls Club and Door County YMCA. But the main event was seeing the newest play at Third Avenue Playworks in Sturgeon Bay: A Christmas Carol: A Live Radio Play.

The show was really fantastic — funny and unique on top of the heartfelt classic of Charles Dickens. It’s set like a1940s production, with us in the rows participating as the live studio audience for the radio show. It adds an interesting layer to the show since A Christmas Carol is being told but there are also dynamics and stories happening silently by the actors playing the dozens of characters. It gets kind of meta in a hilarious and delightful way.
