Thirty-one
I begin the year uncharted
My head above the waves
But I am off the map once more
I’ve never been much for swimming
I like when the water meets the shore
But the only guide I have says this:
Swim until you reach the ship
Then sail until you want to quit
Then keep sailing
I think somewhere in the changing winds
Sunrise, sunset, sunburns, cold nights
You build a life
Thirty-one
A little unmoored
But still – building a life
With Love,
Natalie
